American Furukawa, Inc. (formerly named Furukawa Electric North America or FENA) is a subsidiary of Japan-based parent, the Furukawa Electric Co. In April 2009 American Furukawa (AFI) was established to merge Furukawa Electric North America, Automotive Products Division, Inc. (FENA APD), and Furukawa America Inc. (FAI) to supply products for automotive, electronics, medical, and industrial applications in North America. Products include heat sinks and thermal solutions, memory disks for hard drives, wire harnesses, insulated wire, and copper products, to name a few. AFI's headquarters are now in Plymouth, Michigan.
